Clayton Park School lock down drill has ended.
Kia ora and Welcome
Clayton Park is a happy and hard working full primary school located in Wattle Downs, Manurewa. We have been here since 1979 and changed in many ways over the years. We cater to students from Year 1 right through to Year 8. We are a culturally diverse staff and community.
We are currently excited about the new school re-build, with the first stage almost complete, and final completion of the second building and landscaping at the end of 2019.
We have large school grounds with a fantastic hall for sports and arts. We have a Maori bi-lingual unit for years 1-8 and a Samoan bi-lingual unit for years 5-8. Our brilliant music teacher finds us winning regional and national band competitions each year and we are developing our talents in choir singing too.
We are developing our knowledge of play-based learning in the junior school and building on collaborative practices across the whole school. We deliver a broad curriculum and showcase this through events like Science Fair, speech competitions, Art exhibitions, Cultural festivals, Talent Quests, Robotic competitions, CCSA Year 7/8 and MPSSA Year 5/6 sports competitions.
We follow the values of: Aroha, Respect, Integrity/Initiative/Industry, Safety, Engagement in Learning (ARISE). You will find them in every conversation we have.
We like to think we have an open-door policy so drop into the office if you need to discuss anything, or send us an email.
