Term 4 - Level 3 Bubble School
Tuesday 12th October 2021
Kia Ora everyone
Bubble school will commence on Monday 18th October, under Level 3 restrictions.
Bubble school is only for families where parents will be returning back to work at Level 3, and there is no other adult in the house to manage your child/ children. If there is an adult at home then the child/ children should be kept at home, as we will be providing learning material to support them. You must confirm that there are no other adults in your house that can manage your children.
Please note that we will be operating under the absolute minimum staff (one teacher, plus one first aider). All hygiene practices will be adhered to, our staff on board will be vaccinated, however are not mandated to wear masks.
Please check our website for full details and criteria on Bubble school under Level 3 below.
Once we've accepted your registration, we'll contact you to confirm. If, after registering you have made alternative arrangements, you must let us know, so we can manage the number of bubbles required.

LEVEL 3 INFORMATION
13th September 2021
Kia ora everyone
As we prepare for a move to Level 3, I am inviting you to register for Level 3 bubble school. Bubble school is for families where parents will be returning to work at Level 3 and there is no other adult in the house to manage their child/children. Bubble school cannot accept any students who are sick on any of the days.
Bubble school drop offs for registered students must be between 8:45-9am only and then we will lock the gates to prevent any additions to our bubbles. Pick ups are strictly between 3-3:15pm. We will give you a contact number to call if you are not attending bubble school on a particular day so we can mark the roll accurately. It is important that your employer is made aware of the timeframe that school is open so that your work hours can be adjusted or other arrangements can be made for drop offs/pick ups.
We will operate on absolute minimum staff during bubble school (one teacher per bubble and one back up staff member onsite for First Aid). Hygiene protocols will include regular hand sanitising and disinfecting of classroom surfaces during the day, as well as social distancing. It has been recommended that students under 12 do not need to wear masks due to them using them incorrectly. Staff are not mandated to wear masks but will if they choose to.
Students from the same family will be in the same bubble and will be required to join the zooms for their studio throughout the day, as well as be supervised with other age-appropriate activities for the rest of the day. Students will get regular exercise outside (weather permitting) and work through all areas of the curriculum. Students must bring food and drink each day as the school has already distributed any Kidscan food to the community in the first week of lockdown.
Once we’ve accepted your registration, we will contact you to confirm, and then contact you again once the drop to Level 3 has been announced by the Prime Minister. If you make alternative arrangements for care at Level 3, you must let us know so we can manage the number of bubbles required.
