Clayton Park is a happy and hard working full primary school located in Wattle Downs, Manurewa. We have been here since 1979 and changed in many ways over the years. We cater to students from Year 0 right through to Year 8. We are a culturally diverse staff and community.

Our buildings were re-built in 2019 and we are all enjoying the new spaces. We have many site projects in the pipelines to further enhance our site and learning and these include: additional planting of our bike and scooter tracks, additional planting for our community orchard, development of our Makerspace and Lego space, completion of our music room, construction of a challenge course and wellbeing space on the hill, as well as other smaller projects that our community and learners propose.

We have large school grounds with a fantastic hall for sports and arts. We have a Māori bi-lingual unit for years 6-8 and a Rumaki Reo for Y0-5.

We continue to develop our knowledge of play-based learning in the junior school and work hard to build collaborative practices across the whole school. We deliver a broad curriculum and showcase this through events like STEAM Fair, speech competitions, Cultural festivals, Talent Quests, Robotic competitions, CCSA Year 7/8 and MPSSA Year 5/6 sports competitions, LEGO league, EPRO8, kapa haka.
